Dictate anywhere.
Hold a hotkey, speak, let go: your words are typed wherever the cursor is. Whisper runs on your machine, an optional AI pass takes out the ums, and your own words, snippets and transforms do the rest.

Hold, speak, let go
Hold the hotkey and talk. Let go, and what you said is typed wherever your cursor is: an email, a chat, a doc, a terminal.
- Ctrl+Shift+Space by default (⌘⇧Space on a Mac), or any shortcut you like.
- Hold to talk, or tap once to start and again to finish, hands-free.
- Esc cancels. You can also start from the tray or menu bar.
- A small pill shows it listening, with Sushi on top. Drag it anywhere, or keep it on screen between dictations; double-click Sushi to send it home.
- A short chime when recording starts and stops, if you want one.
- 01 · Hold
Hold the hotkey. A chime, and Yammer is listening.
- 02 · Let goTranscribing…Base (English)
Whisper turns it into text, on your machine.
- 03 · TidyPolishing…claude-haiku-5-5
Optional: a model takes out the ums.
- 04 · Pasted

Your voice stays on your machine
Whisper runs on your own computer, so nothing you say is sent anywhere. Download a model once and it works offline.
- Six Whisper models, from Tiny at 78 MB to Large v3 Turbo. Base, at 148 MB, suits most computers.
- Each download is checked against a pinned SHA-256 before it's loaded.
- Multilingual models cover 99 languages.
- Or use a cloud service: Groq, OpenAI, Sarvam AI for Indian languages, Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible API.
- Words in your Dictionary help it spell names and jargon right.

Talk the way you talk
Turn on cleanup and a language model tidies each transcript before it's pasted: the ums go, "scratch that" is honoured, punctuation is fixed.
- Keeps your own words and tone. It never summarises or rephrases.
- Say "new line" or dictate a list, and it's formatted that way.
- Add your own rules, like "Use British spelling," or pick a transform to restyle it.
- Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, Sarvam AI, Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible model.
- Only the text is sent, never the audio. If the model fails, the raw transcript is pasted instead.
AI cleanup
Have a language model tidy each transcript before it's pasted.
You say
“um so let’s meet at 3, no wait, scratch that, 4pm on uh Thursday”
It pastes
So let’s meet at 4 pm on Thursday.
Clean up transcripts
If the model fails or times out, the raw transcript is pasted instead.

Teach it your words
Add the names, company jargon and uncommon terms you use, and they come out right in every dictation. When a word keeps coming out wrong, fix it once.
- Words are spelt exactly as you write them, by both Whisper and cleanup.
- Corrections replace what it mishears, like "wisper flow" with "Wispr Flow".
- Whole words only, ignoring capitals, and applied after cleanup so the model can't undo them.
- Works with cleanup off, and adds no delay.
Dictionary
Teach Yammer your words.
Words
Names, jargon and acronyms to listen for, spelt exactly as written.
Corrections
When a word keeps coming out wrong, replace it every time.
Stop re-typing the same things
Save the text you type often, like a link, an intro email or a prompt, and say its trigger to drop it in.
- Say "my linkedin" on its own and just the link is pasted, exactly as saved.
- Say it mid-sentence and it's expanded in place.
- Matching ignores the capitals and full stops speech-to-text adds.
- A snippet said on its own skips cleanup, so a model never "fixes" your URL.
Snippets
The stuff you shouldn't have to re-type.
When you say my linkedin

When you say intro email
Hey, would love to find some time to chat about what you're building. Does Thursday work?
When you say standup
Yesterday: shipped the installers. Today: Insights polish. Blockers: none.
Say it once, get it in the right shape
A transform rewrites what you dictate before it's pasted: into an email, bullet points, or a formal note. Pick one and every dictation comes out that way.
- Ships with Email, Bullet points, Concise, Formal and Casual.
- Write your own, like "a short Slack status update: done, next, blockers."
- One is active at a time, until you pick another or choose None.
- Runs on your AI cleanup model, so there's no new key to add.
- Or run any of them on a note in the Scratchpad.
Transforms
Say it once, get it in the right shape.
Apply to dictations
One at a time. It stays on until you pick another or choose None.
None
Paste what you said, cleaned up but not restyled.
EmailActive
Format the text as an email: a short greeting, the body in paragraphs, and a sign-off.
Bullet points
Restructure the text as a concise bulleted list, one idea per bullet.
Concise
Make the text shorter and clearer. Keep every fact and request.
Formal
Rewrite the text in a professional, formal tone.
Lands where your cursor is
Yammer pastes into whatever app has focus, then puts your clipboard back the way it was. The pill never takes focus, so the text goes where you meant.
- Your clipboard is restored after every paste.
- A space is added after each dictation, so they don't run together.
- On a Mac it asks once for Accessibility, which it needs to press ⌘V for you.
- On Wayland, bind a shortcut to yammer --toggle and paste with wtype or ydotool.
- If a window won't take the paste, the text is still in History.
